PWTC WELCOMES THE WORLD IN THE New Millennium

The coming millennium will see more world - class events converging at the Putra World Trade Centre

First major event to take off in Year 2000 is the Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF) from March 7-11. It will be Malaysia's sixth year in staging this international exhibition ,showcasing some of the finest furniture from this region.

August 7-12 will see the meeting of some 2,000 -3,000 participants from the International Union of Forestry Research Organization. The XX1 IUFRO World Congress is a forum for the exchange of ideas and provides opportunities for forest scientists to present their result to those in the industry and the public. The International Design Exhibition 2000, from August 30 - September 3 ,will be a trade exhibition which brings together local and foreign exhibitors from the diverse manufacturing and supply industries within the built environment.

This 1st ever international event ,named DEX 2000 Malaysia ,will also feature the intelligent work environment and focus on the eco-friendly and innovative living spaces for the new millennium.

RECORD 110 STALLS FOR MILLENNIUM BAZAR RAMADHAN PUTRA

This year's Ramadhan Bazaar has drawn a record number of stalls offering an extensive variety of local fare ,cookies, household decorations and festive wear at bargain prices.

In its sixth year running, the popular 'Bazar Ramadhan Putra' held at Legar Putra will be opened to the public from December 9, '99 to January 8, 2000. Operation hours will be from 11 am - 8 pm daily. For prayers, a surau is available on level 2.

For the convenience of shoppers, a sumptuous spread of buka puasa specialities will be available at PWTC 's Riverside Restaurant priced at RM45 nett (adults )and half price for children 12 and below.

"There will be more 60 food items offered on the Ramadhan buffet and these are changed daily . For large group of 30 persons or more , menus can be catered to suit specific requests. So do come. It 'll be a treat for the whole family," said Sopiah Suid, Senior Manager for PR& Communications.

HERE'S TO THE NEW MILLENNIUM...

Season's Greeting ! It 's that time of the year once again when the festive season is upon us and this year, there's even more reason to celebrate -we're welcoming a brand new millennium.

Already,there's a sense of expectation in the air . Without doubt, everything we're going to be doing to welcome Year 2000 will have that something 'extra' - extra special, extra memorable.

We'd like to take a moment here to reflect in the past year . The economic recovery this year has brought about improved business and we had, in fact, hosted a number of international events such as the XX1st World Road Congress, 5th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP), RadTech Asia '99, and International Medical Imaging & Instrumentation Technology '99. We are happy to note that more world class events will be coming our way in the new millennium. As for new year resolutions, it always boils down to one thing - our client's satisfaction. We are committed to further enhance our relationship with our clients, such as yourself, in order to anticipate and better serve your needs. At the end of the day , your success is our success too.
