GREETINGS TO ALL

The year 2000 ended on a lovely note, what with Hari Raya, Christmas, New Year Celebrations and all. The beginning of 2001 was equally festive with the Lunar New Year. May it bring much happiness and prosperity to everyone.


We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support for the past year. We certainly hope that we will continue to enjoy your support -and that you will honour us by using our facilities and services.



On our end, we will strive even harder to ensure hat our clients are rewarded with the best services. We intend to enhance our existing packages to provide you with even better valuefor-money. At the end of the day, it should be a win-win situation for all.



Putra World Trade Centre has been the country's main venue for international conventions and exhibitions and we are confident of drawing more of such events to Malaysia. On the local front, we plan'to place equal emphasis on the smaller events such as meetings and seminars. It seems that some are unaware that we have in fact many function rooms for smaller-size events. Whether large or small, you can count on our commitment and dedication in ensuring that your event here will be" a success.

CHEF OF THE YEAR
PWTC's Executive Chef, Lau Keng Meng, was recently awarded 'Chef of the Year' by the Chefs Association of Malaysia for his contribution to the service industry over the last 20 years. The award was presented to him by Tourism Minister, Datuk Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.

More than 100 instituitions if higher education will be feuatures at the upcoming KL Education Fair 2001 , from February 23-25. The fair will help school leavers in narrowing their choices or increasing their options.

Both local and foreign instituitions offering diverse fileds of studies will be represented at the fair,which will be held at PWTC

APRICOT 2001 CONFERENCE
Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies (APRICOT) 2001 has lined up distinguished speakers from the internet industry including David Isenberg from Isen.com, Prof Jun Murai and Tan Sri Dr. Othman Yeop Abdullah from MDC.

To be held at PWTC from February 26-March 2 , APRICOT will comprise workshops,tutorials,conference sessionsand other forums geared towards spreading and sharing the knowledge required to operate the internet within the Asia Pacific region .

MIFF 2001 TAKES CENTRE STAGE

  Asia's premier furniture event returns with yet another comprehensive collection showcasing the very best of ASEAN furniture for markets all over the world. To be held for the 7th consecutive year at PWTC,MIFF 2001 will go on show from March 6-10.

The MIFF series,now recognized as the international favourite furniture buying stop in Asia ,will parade top quality furniture products in the latest global trends& designs and manufactured to strict high standards.

the event will achieve yet another record with increasing exhibition space spread over 45,000 sq.m. and housed in 9 exhibition halls .


EXHIBITION TO REFLECT UPTREND IN FURNITURE INDUSTRY
Export of Malaysian furniture has been experiencing robust growth for the past number of years . In keeping with the demands of the market ,manufacturers will be looking at new equipment ,supplies and services to help them optimize their production capacity through better finished and more refined products .

In response to this need , Woodwork 2001 , to be held at PWTC from March 29-April 1 , will feature Woodworking Machinery ,Timber Processing, Furniture Manufacturing Supplies and Upholstery & Furnishing.
